Autism Spectrum Disorders: Educational Series for Parents

ASD School-aged Education Series (parents of children ages 6-18 years) Classes are held from 6:00 - 7:30PM. Classes are held at 401 Quarry Road (Child Psychiatry and Behavioral Science Building). 401 Quarry Road is located across from the (closed) Andronico's Market and Crate and Barrel. Parking is free afer 4:00PM. Please follow the signs in the lobby for room directions. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Maura Chatwell at (650) 721-6327.

This educational series is for parents of children and adolescents with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The series is designed to provide parents with information about ASD including ways parents can support their children's development and reduce inappropriate behaviors. Classes are divided into two 4-5 week Modules: General information Module and Building Skills at Home Module. Topics include behavioral interventions, social skills training, improving communication skills, and managing stress and disruptive behaviors. Please come join other parents to learn new strategies, ask questions and share experiences. parents are encouraged to attend all classes within a Module but it is not required.
