This 10-week group program teaches parents of children with ADHD how to manage their child's behavior more effectively. The goals of the group include: improving focus, compliance, on-task behavior, homework completion, as well as improving frustration tolerance. Parents learn how to use praise and positive reinforcement to increase their child's motivation. They also learn how to implement effective punishment strategies and collaborate with their child's school to improve classroom behavior. The group utilizes a structured, skills-building approach to help parents learn concrete strategies with proven effectiveness for children with ADHD.
